Group transport in The Three Cities
Birgu (Vittoriosa), Senglea (L-Isla) and Cospicua (Bormla) face Valletta across the Grand Harbour. Birgu was the Knights’ first base in Malta, and its narrow streets, Fort St Angelo and waterfront make it a favourite stop on history tours.
Streets inside the old cities are tight, so we set down at practical points near the Birgu waterfront and the city gates. It pairs well with a Valletta morning and lunch by the Grand Harbour Marina.
