Group transport in Valletta
Valletta, the Fortress City, is Malta’s compact capital and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by the Knights of St John, it is packed with Baroque churches, palaces, gardens and museums, and is on almost every group itinerary.
Traffic inside the city walls is restricted, so coaches and minibuses set down and collect outside City Gate, by the Triton Fountain. From there the Upper Barrakka Gardens, St John’s Co-Cathedral and Republic Street are an easy walk.
